I written this op-ed recently. I wanted to talk about the mind, and this is the only place I feel it actually fits in for critical debate.
[ The War Within: Three Kinds of A Divided Self ]
“Four minds across a thousand years: a Talmudic sage, a Black American prophet, a Persian philosopher, and a man fighting the storm of Schizoaffective Bipolar disorder. They collide over one terrifying truth: every human is a crowd at war with itself, and mistaking which war you’re in can destroy you. One split you must steer with your own will, one that society forced on you and only justice can lift, one that no prayer can cure but medicine can quiet — reach for the wrong weapon, and you don’t just lose, you pile blame onto a wound. But strip away every sensation, every voice, every diagnosis, and something unkillable remains: the floating self who asks the question, the “I” that was always home, worth every fight it takes to steer it back to peace.”
Please let me know what you think, support and enjoy wherever possible!
Stay frosty!
Sincerely, Julius
